1. Who we are

Cake Platform prepares custom cakes and celebration cakes. This notice explains what information we collect through this website, why we use it, how long we keep it and the choices you have.

2. Information we collect

• Contact details you give us: name, email, phone (optional), preferred language and how you prefer to be contacted.
• Request details: occasion, event date, cake preferences, ZIP code, delivery address when you choose delivery, budget range and notes.
• Inspiration references: photos and videos you upload and links you paste. We store links as text; we do not download content from social networks.
• Technical data needed to run and protect the site: a session cookie, your IP address for security and abuse prevention, and anonymous usage events (for example, which step of a form was completed) that never include your name, email, messages or links.

3. How we use it

• To review your request, contact you about it and prepare a quote (consent required to submit a request).
• To send you automatic messages about your request, such as the confirmation and secure access links.
• To keep the site secure, prevent spam and fix problems.
• Marketing emails or text messages only if you check those boxes. They are optional and not required to submit a request; you can unsubscribe at any time.

Your inspiration files are private: only authorized members of our team can see them, and we do not use them in advertising without your specific permission.

4. Sharing

We do not sell your information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate (website hosting and email delivery), under their own confidentiality obligations, or when required by law.

5. How long we keep it

• Unfinished request drafts: up to 30 days.
• Requests that were closed without a purchase: up to 12 months after closing.
• Inspiration files of those requests: up to 12 months after closing.
• Security records (access links, sign-in and abuse-prevention records): up to 90 days, unless a longer period is justified (for example, to investigate an incident or meet a legal obligation).

Information related to an order, a claim or a legal obligation may be kept longer for that purpose.

6. Security

We use encrypted connections, access controls by role, private storage for your files and single-use links that expire to let you view your request without a password.

7. Your choices

You can view your request at /my-cake-request with a secure link sent to your email. You can ask us to correct or delete your information, or withdraw your marketing consent, at any time.

8. Children

This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

10. Changes

If we change this notice we will publish the new version on this page with its version and effective date. Each request records the version you accepted.
